Hey everyone, welcome to my journal!

I thought it was appropriate to start with an introduction, so here we go…

I have to admit that the initial idea of starting my own art business certainly wasn’t mine! For years people had been telling me to start selling my work but I never really felt comfortable/ good enough to actually do it. I nodded my head quietly, already dismissing the idea within seconds. It wasn’t until my mother’s best friend was at the house and as she was leaving, she told me about the wonders of the art world and how I’d fit right in. (Please do follow Amja Unabashedly on instagram, she’s an amazing speaker and has many beautiful artworks!)

Truth be told, her incredibly motivating words couldn’t have come at a better time. I was struggling to focus on my studies so starting an art business was the perfect source of procrastination! (…maybe the timing wasn’t so great).

So in conclusion, no… the idea didn’t come to me in a majestic, euphoric dream, but I began my artistic journey in the first few days of 2020.
